Exploitation of spiritual tourism regarding mother goddess worshipping beliefs in socio-economic development in Vietnam

Abstract

Mother worship has a special place in the system of indigenous folk beliefs in Vietnam. It is associated with the spiritual life of the people and expresses cultural identity, customs and traditions of the Vietnamese community for many generations. "Practices related to the Việt beliefs in the Mother Goddesses of Three Realms" was recognized by the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) as the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity on December 1, 2016. Tourism associated with spiritual worship form therefore become more appealing and attractive to domestic and foreign tourists. In the context of Vietnam is promoting all resources, including cultural resource, effective exploiting the forms of tourism associated with spiritual worship regarding economic development and preservation of cultural heritage is essential problems today.
