Abstract

This paper presents some basic differences between literature language signs and cinema image signs in literature language and cinema language systems. The dimensions to be considered are: the relations between the signifier and the signified, and the syntactic and associative relations of signs. The paper also shows the ways to approach and decode these kinds of signs in literature and cinema narrative texts.
